Untitled XIII

"The following four images take a look at water in a more critical sense and how we take it for granted.

By placing a glass of water on a plinth it gives it a sense of importance but to also highlight how it can be taken for granted in that easily accessible form, like from a tap into a glass, which has been created out of necessity through human evolution.

The cube of water on a plinth highlights how we tend to try and mould nature inorganically.

The last two images of water meters stacked and empty water cans look at water and accessibility and how for some there is no struggle in accessing water yet for others the image of the water cans will be very relevant in their daily routine. It simply seeks to make the viewer re-evaluate these objects and reconsider their roles in our day to day lives."
