Quiet Geometry

April 12, 2026 - May 03, 2026

RK Contemporary 32 Main Street Riebeek Kasteel

12 April - 3 May

Leah Johnson | Leah Rolando | Cynthia Edwards

This exhibition brings together three artists whose practices share a sensitivity to colour, line, form, and shadow—qualities that resonate with the architectural legacy of Luis Barragán.

Barragán’s work is defined by quiet geometry, saturated colour, and a careful orchestration of light. Leah Rolando works through photography, creating carefully composed still-life images; Leah Johnson works with thread, constructing interwoven textile forms; Cynthia Edwards' ceramics works are playful and expressive, blending abstraction with a strong sensitivity to form, texture, colour and movement. Though distinct in medium, all three practices create spaces of contemplation, where colour carries emotional weight, line becomes structure, and shadow acts as an active presence. Titled Quiet Geometry, the exhibition places your works in dialogue, exploring surface and depth, stillness and structure, and the expressive power of minimal yet vivid forms. Together, the works invite slow looking and a heightened awareness of proportion, material, and light
