Silent Land features a series of landscape paintings depicting the beautiful and vast Swartland landscapes - comprised of farmlands, settlements and small patches of endangered renosterveld.
Jenny Parsons is a landscape painter, living and working in Riebeek West, who uses paint to describe her responses to the ways in which we inhabit the land. “My work explores the intersection of my own direct experience of the land, and our shared bodily experiences of light, air, colour and space.
Astrid McLeod, owner and curator of RK Contemporary says that she is very excited to see the final pieces on exhibit in the gallery. “Jenny has exhibited extensively throughout South Africa and is represented in a number of local and international collections. I am very pleased and excited to have her work exhibiting at RK Contemporary.”
